A Start-Up Builders' Merchants


The new owner and Managing Director of this business was new to retail but knew the industry well. He was determined not to repeat mistakes so wished to engage a part-time CFO to see the business through the start-up phase.
We provided a chartered accountant on a part-time basis to work closely with the MD. His brief included detailed budgetting and forecasting for banking negotiations, systems and software set up, terms of business, and negotiation of new trade accounts with suppliers.
Our interim CFO then handed over the administration and bookkeeping to a competent bookkeeper who has maintained a safe pair of hands in the business ever since.
